Abstract: Advances in the methodology for evaluating strength and conditioning, together with the evolution in the physical demands of competition in different sports such as rugby, soccer, volleyball, basketball or athletics, have led to greater relevance of high intensity ballistics actions. A good evaluation of strength, speed and power could help us to develop optimized and individualized training programs in the professional application. Our study hypothesis was to see if there was a relationship in the performance of athletes with a balanced Force-Speed profile. Our objective was to evaluate the correlation between the vertical force-velocity profile and the subjective perception of performance (PSR) in active long distance and medium distance absolute category runners. 19 men and 11 women were recruited and measured only one time. The data studied was analyzed in the statistical-computer program IBM Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) - version 25. To see if there is a relationship between the PSR with the profile variables: Theoretical maximum strength when the speed is 0 (F0); theoretical maximum speed when strength is 0 (V0) and imbalance of strength and speed (in English "Strength-Speed Imbalance"; FVimb), a Pearson correlation analysis was carried out. Furthermore, a multivariate analysis test, MANOVA, was carried out to see the effects that the independent variables (sex, category, and test) had on the profile-dependent variables. The main and most important discovery of our study was to find a correlation between the F0 profile variable and the PSR in male athletes. In fact, it could confirm our hypothesis that, to achieve higher levels of efficiency, it is necessary to work on the imbalance of the profile itself. In any case, given the lack of literature, more research would be needed in this area.es_ES
