Sexualidad y erótica en personas con diversidad funcional física: un estudio fenomenológico interpretativo

Abstract

RESUMEN: Objetivo: Describir cómo vivencian la sexualidad y expresan la erótica personas con diversidad funcional/discapacidad física. Metodología: Fenomenología interpretativa utilizando como técnica de recogida de la información la Entrevista Semiestructurada en Profundidad. Participantes: 8 personas, 2 mujeres y 6 hombres con variedad en cuanto a la tipología de la diversidad funcional, identidades sexuales y edades. Resultados: Del análisis emergen tres temas superordinados: autoaceptación de la diversidad funcional, ser hombre y ser mujer con diversidad funcional física, reinventando la erótica. Conclusiones: La construcción social de la diversidad funcional como un estigma impacta negativamente sobre la representación social e individual que se tiene de estos sujetos como seres humanos sexuados y eróticos. La autoaceptación de la diversidad funcional se convierte en un factor clave para la vivencia de la sexualidad y la expresión de la erótica. La vivencia de ser hombre y ser mujer se particulariza por la coexistencia de roles tradicionales y otros nuevos que son incorporados pero, sobre todo, por la puesta en práctica de estrategias de empoderamiento sexual con las cuales se posicionan como los hombres y las mujeres que son. El proceso de reerotización de su corporalidades, prácticas, espacios, objetos y situaciones es una evidencia del carácter activo que como sujetos asumen en la gestión de sus deseos. ABSTRACT: Objective: To describe how people with physical disability/functional diversity experience sexuality and express eroticism. Methodology: Interpretive phenomenology using the In-Depth Semi-structured Interview as a technique for collecting information. Participants: 8 subjects, 2 women and 6 men with variety regarding the typology of functional diversity, sexual identities and ages. Results: From the emerging analysis, three superordinate themes: self-acceptance of functional diversity, being a man and a woman with physical functional diversity, reinventing erotica. Conclusions: The social construction of functional diversity as a shockingly negative stigma on the social and individual representation of these subjects as sexual and erotic human beings. The selfacceptance of functional diversity becomes a key factor for the experience of sexuality and the expression of erotica. The experience of being a man and being a woman is characterized by the coexistence of traditional roles and new ones that are incorporated but, above all, by the implementation of sexual empowerment strategies with which they position themselves as the men and women who are . The reerotization process of their corporalities, practices, spaces, objects and situations is evidence of the active nature that they assume as subjects in the management of their desires.
