2010Resumen
This article analyses Borges’s literary and hermeneuthical theories. The central topic for the author is ‘meaning’ and thus he interrogates topics such as metaphor, symbol, allegory, intertextuality, literary tradition, Kabbalah and translation. According to Borges, language has the capacity to signify but it must be interpretated. The text is not a simply linguistic object but an object that needs to be understood. This means that the writer and the reader are on the same path: both need each other.
