El proceso migratorio: un viaje educativo sin estereotipos de género

Abstract

Resumen: La educación representa un pilar fundamental en la construcción de la identidad de las personas, además con ella se origina la batalla más eficaz para lograr que cualquier forma de discriminación sea suprimida. La educación promueve la compensación de las desigualdades sociales, estereotipos y prejuicios, basados en construcciones equívocas de la sociedad; la cual, arrastra un pasado siniestro, dónde la masculinidad hegemónica adoctrina y silencia a la figura femenina. La identidad y la cultura tienen un fuerte componente social, que a la vez; está muy arraigado a las personas, a sus actitudes y valores. La presente propuesta de intervención pretende dar una repuesta educativa óptima a esta situación para conseguir así, contrarrestar éstos estereotipos de género y desigualdades. Esta propuesta de intervención se llevará a cabo con varones migrantes. Los cuales acaban de llegar a Europa, donde empiezan un nuevo viaje que va a influir en la reconstrucción de su identidad y en su concepto de masculinidad, por la posición que ocupan en su familia, cómo “figura salvadora”. Se desarrollará en un entorno cambiante y dinámico. Para llevarla a cabo, haremos una revisión sobre qué es la identidad, cómo se conforma ésta, que influencia ejerce el género y el sexo, la posición de masculinidad frente a la feminidad, autores que han investigado estos aspectos y algunas propuestas educativas que han sido llevadas a cabo hasta el momento tanto con personas migrantes como en colegios donde interactúan diferentes culturas. Además, con ésta propuesta se abrirá paso al conocimiento y al pensamiento crítico, sobre las diferentes orientaciones sexuales y géneros, la vinculación de roles y la infinidad de situaciones de desigualdad que actualmente aún sufren las mujeres. Abstract: Education represents a fundamental pillar in the construction of people's identity, and with it originates the most effective battle to achieve the elimination of any form of discrimination. Education promotes the compensation of social inequalities, stereotypes and prejudices, based on mistaken constructions of society, which drags a sinister past, where hegemonic masculinity indoctrinates and silences the female figure. Identity and culture have a strong social component, which at the same time, is deeply rooted in people, their attitudes and values. The present proposal of intervention intends to give an optimal educational response to this situation in order to counteract these gender stereotypes and inequalities. This intervention proposal will be carried out with male migrants. They have just arrived in Europe, where they are beginning a new journey that will influence the reconstruction of their identity and their concept of masculinity, due to the position they occupy in their family, as a "saving figure". It will take place in a changing and dynamic environment. In order to carry it out, we will review what identity is, how it is formed, what influence gender and sex have, the position of masculinity versus femininity, authors who have researched these aspects and some educational proposals that have been carried out so far both with migrants and in schools where different cultures interact. Furthermore, this proposal will open the way to knowledge and critical thinking about different sexual orientations and genders, the linkage of roles and the multitude of situations of inequality that women still suffer today.
