El suicidio es la segunda causa de muerte entre los jóvenes de 15 a 24 años. En España es la primera causa de muerte no natural, siendo Andalucía una de las comunidades con mayor prevalencia. Está causado por distintos factores de riesgo que se pueden englobar en cuatro grupos: sociales, familiares, biológicos y psicológicos. Los más relevantes son los intentos previos de suicidio y los factores psicológicos. La adolescencia es el periodo de edad que transcurre entre los 10 y los 19 años, en el que se produce el cambio y la maduración hacia la edad adulta. El objetivo de esta investigación ha sido estudiar los factores de riesgo de suicidio en los
adolescentes. Para ello se efectuó una búsqueda en las bases de datos Pubmed, MEDLINE EBESCO, CINAHL y BIBLIOTECA COCHRANE PLUS desde 2015 hasta 2020.
