2019Abstract
Los plaguicidas, también denominados pesticidas, son sustancias químicas
destinadas a matar, repeler, atraer, regular o interrumpir el crecimiento de seres vivos
(de origen animal o vegetal) considerados plagas. Su uso evita que la producción de
frutas y vegetales a nivel mundial, se reduzca entre un 30 y 40%. Sin embargo, un
uso descontrolado de plaguicidas puede ser peligroso no solo para el hombre, sino
también perjudicial para el medio ambiente, ya que muchos de ellos son persistentes
y/o bioacumulativos. Por ello, numerosos métodos de análisis están constantemente
en evolución para el correcto control de estos productos fitosanitarios no solo en
alimentos sino también en el medio ambiente.
