2021Abstract
Introducción: La muerte perinatal es un proceso doloroso y devastador para los profesionales
implicados en su atención. Las matronas son parte del equipo encargado de atender a las
madres y familias que sufren una perdida, brindando el apoyo necesario para la elaboración de
un duelo saludable. Sin embargo, esta tarea supone un duro trance para las mismas, que se
sienten poco capacitadas y con falta de confianza para brindar el apoyo y los cuidados
integrales que se precisan. El cuestionario “Perinatal Bereavement Care Confidence Scale
(PBCCS)”, que surge de la necesidad de medir la confianza de las matronas para brindar
apoyo al duelo, se mostró como una herramienta válida y fiable. Sin embargo, no existen
herramientas similares validadas en español. El objetivo fue traducir, adaptar culturalmente al
castellano y evaluar psicométricamente el PBCCS-E, así como el análisis descriptivo de los
resultados.
