Efectos de la terapia vibratoria en la marcha de niños con Parálisis Cerebral Infantil Dipéjica. Serie de casos

Abstract

La Parálisis Cerebral Infantil (PCI), en su distribución dipléjica es una afectación sensoriomotora bilateral, en la cual, los miembros inferiores están más afectados que los superiores. Es la presentación más común de PC (40%) y se pueden encontrar dos formas, espástica y atáxica. En cuanto a la primera clasificación, el signo más sobresaliente es el aumento del tono muscular en las extremidades inferiores, con presencia de hiperreflexia generalizada, con otros signos piramidales y desarrollo de rigideces en las articulaciones. 9,15 Entre los nuevos métodos utilizados en terapia física encontramos el entrenamiento con vibraciones, siendo un método de terapia y entrenamiento aceptado para mejorar la salud y el rendimiento en el cuerpo de los pacientes. Whole-body Vibration (WBV) expone a los pacientes a un movimiento oscilatorio realizando una inestabilidad a nivel articular, a la que el cuerpo debe reaccionar.Abstract: Infantile cerebral palsy (CP), in its diplegic distribution, is a bilateral sensorimotor involvement, in which the lower limbs are more affected than the upper limbs. It is the most common presentation of CP (40%) and two forms can be found, spastic and ataxic. Regarding the first classification, the most prominent sign is increased muscle tone in the lower limbs, with presence of generalized hyperreflexia, with other pyramidal signs and development of joint stiffness. 9,15 Among the new methods used in physical therapy we find vibration training, being an accepted method of therapy and training to improve health and performance in the body of patients. Whole- body Vibration (WBV) exposes patients to an oscillatory movement, creating instability at the joint level, to which the body must react. .
