La novela Tan cerca de la vida (2011), del autor peruano Santiago Roncagliolo, combina elementos de la literatura de ciencia ficción con técnicas narrativas altamente inteligentes y elaboradas. A partir del nuevo concepto narratológico, llamado narración perturbadora, que desarrolla Sabine Schlickers en La narración perturbadora: un nuevo concepto narratológico transmedial (2017), este artículo primero define las tres estrategias narrativas perturbadoras para después aplicarlas a pasajes escogidos de la novela de Roncagliolo. Este análisis investiga en qué medida y con qué efectos estas estrategias son empleadas, además de comparar las dos versiones diferentes del final de la novela (2010 y 2011) y los distintos efectos que este cambio origina. Se muestra que la novela combina las tres estrategias perturbadoras tanto a nivel del contenido como a nivel del discurso, lo que perturba en gran medida al lector y le otorga mayor complejidad a la novela.
