Propuesta de intervención educativa en el alumnado con trastorno del espectro autista a través del programa TEACCH

Abstract

El presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado, en concreto del Grado en Educación Primaria, ha sido realizado con el objetivo de conocer más sobre el Trastorno del Espectro Autista, su diagnóstico, evaluación e intervención educativa. Además, de querer orientar y sensibilizar a los futuros docentes de la posibilidad de encontrarnos con un niño TEA en un aula de Educación Primaria, y cómo proceder a actuar ante dicho caso. Será partícipe una educación inclusiva, la que atiende a todos los alumnos sin excepción, ni etiquetas y por supuesto que responda a las necesidades de todos. Por otra parte, el trabajo se centra en el ámbito educativo, por ello, se presentará una propuesta de intervención educativa con un niño con TEA, llevada a cabo en un aula ordinaria de Educación Primaria. Utilizaremos la metodología TEACCH (abreviación en inglés de Tratamiento y Educación de niños con Autismo y Problemas de Comunicación relacionados) ya que se centra en equilibrar y ofrecer igualdad de oportunidades desde una perspectiva más colaborativa entre las familias y los demás profesionales participantes. La organización estructurada que presenta el método TEACCH ayuda a reducir los problemas de conducta y el estrés que puede ocasionar no entender una actividad, ya que al estar estructurado resulta más sencillo y claro, facilitando la comprensión del alumno. Por último, trataremos de exponer el caso de un alumno con Trastorno del Espectro Autista, que no presenta dificultades comunicativas y muestra un gran potencial cognoscitivo. Por el contrario, tiene dificultades para socializarse, obsesión por el orden y en ocasiones de estrés y/o ansiedad exhibe una conducta inadecuada. Abstract: In this Final Degree project, specifically of the Primary Education Degree, has been carried out with the aim of learning more about Autism Spectrum Disorders, diagnostic, evaluation and educational intervention. In addition, to want to guide and sensitize future teachers of the possibility of meeting with a child with autism in a Primary Education classroom, and how to proceed with such a case. An inclusive education will be participated, which serves all students without exception, nor labels and of course it meets everyone's needs. Furthermore, the work focuses on the educational field, therefore, a proposal for educational intervention will be presented with a child with ASD, carried out in an ordinary Primary Education classroom. We will use the TEACCH (Training and Education of Autistic and Related Communication Handicapped Children) methodology, since it focuses on balancing and offering equal opportunities from a more collaborative perspective between families and other participating professionals. The structured organization featuring the TEACCH method helps reduce behavior problems and the stress that can cause not to understand an activity, because being structured makes it easier and clearer, making it easier for the student to understand. Finally, we will try to present the case of a student with Autism Spectrum Disorder, who does not present communication difficulties and shows great cognitive potential.
