El teatro como herramienta pedagógica dentro del enfoque comunicativo de la enseñanza de la lengua Revisión bibliográfica y etnográfica

Abstract

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo indagar en las posibilidades del teatro como herramienta pedagógica capaz de favorecer la enseñanza de la lengua desde la perspectiva del enfoque comunicativo. Para ello, se analiza como punto de partida las diferencias más destacables entre el enfoque comunicativo y el tradicional. Asimismo, se pone el énfasis en la necesidad de emplear metodologías y llevar a cabo acciones que atraigan al alumnado, los absorban en el proceso de aprendizaje de la lengua y, al mismo tiempo, favorezcan la adquisición de los contenidos de la materia. En línea con lo anterior, el trabajo propone el teatro como uno de los instrumentos pedagógicos más eficaces que se pueden emplear en la enseñanza de la lengua desde el enfoque comunicativo. Finalmente, se presenta un estudio etnográfico a través de las entrevistas realizadas a dos docentes que han integrado el teatro con éxito en su práctica educativa. The aim of this paper is to explore the possibilities of theatre as a pedagogical tool capable of favouring language teaching from the perspective of the communicative approach. In order to do so, the most important differences between the communicative approach and the traditional approach are analysed as a starting point. Emphasis is also placed on the need to implement methodologies and carry out actions that engage students, absorbing them in the language learning process and, at the same time, favouring the acquisition of the contents of the subject. In line with the above, the paper proposes drama as one of the most effective pedagogical tools that can be used in language teaching from the communicative approach. Finally, an ethnographic study is presented through interviews with two teachers who have successfully integrated theatre in their teaching.
