1996Abstract
This paper investigates the phenomenon of conflict in exchange relationships, between manufacturers and dealers. First, a review of literature is performed in order to justify conflict bases. Then, a measurement model of conflict is proposed. Therefore, a procedure to gather data and the operating measures are performed. The empirical analysis of the measurement model is performed using a LISREL model. Fit assessment indicators, and reliability and validity analyses reveal the consistency of the process. The results obtained indicate that the level of conflict in exchange relationships is low, both in any single conflict component and overall conflict phenomenon.
