Actualmente, la bronquiolitis aguda se considera la infección respiratoria más frecuente
entre los lactantes de nuestro medio. Para determinar el grado de afectación de una
manera objetiva se emplean diversas escalas, no habiéndose establecido ningún sistema
de referencia para dicha estadificación.
El objetivo principal de este estudio es comparar la situación clínica del paciente y el
lugar de manejo de su patología con la gravedad estimada por las escalas y comprobar
cuál de ellas tiene una mayor concordancia con la situación clínica inicial. Dentro de los
objetivos específicos se recogió cuál de estas escalas establece mayor concordancia según
la edad del paciente y tras 48 horas de ingreso, el nivel de acuerdo entre escalas y las
variables que predicen mejor las necesidades de ingreso hospitalario.
