2020Abstract
De manera cultural la mujer ha tenido que desempeñarse en el hogar atribuyéndosele el rol de cuidadora de los hijos, siendo la encargada en gran medida de la alimentación de los niños. La presente investigación se interesó por el estudio de la obesidad infantil, considerando el papel que posee la figura materna y sus estereotipos sobre esta problemática.
El alcance de la investigación fue de tipo correlacional, con un diseño no experimental-transversal y un enfoque cuantitativo. Se aplicó una batería de instrumentos que abarca las variables: depresión, alimentación emocional, creencias irracionales, figura materna, obesidad infantil y familia. Se aplicó a madres con un rango de edad de entre 25 y 49 años, con al menos un hijo estudiando los primeros años de educación básica de la región de Nezahualcóyotl y Otumba.
