Resumen: Introducción: Actualmente, existe un interés creciente por el método Baby Led Weaning. Aproximadamente a partir de los seis meses y/o cuando el bebé ha adquirido una serie de requisitos, se ofrecen alimentos sólidos, con una presentación determinada, que el bebé autogestiona. Con este método es el propio lactante quien coge por sí mismo la comida que se pone a su alcance y marca el ritmo decidiendo qué y cuánto comer. Objetivos: Conocer los posibles beneficios y riesgos del método Baby Led Weaning comparado con el método de alimentación a base de alimentos triturados mediante una búsqueda bibliográfica. Metodología: Revisión bibliográfica integradora entre enero y mayo de 2020 sobre los beneficios y riesgos que conlleva la práctica del método BLW, en la que se incluyeron artículos a texto completo que estuviesen publicados dentro del rango de los últimos 10 años.
