RESUMEN
Botrytis cinerea es un patógeno capaz de atacar a su hospedador empleando sus estrategias de ataque de múltiples formas, y, cuando se dan las condiciones favorecedoras de la infección, se ponen de manifiesto síntomas que producen grandes pérdidas en los cultivos, como ocurre en la enfermedad de la podredumbre gris u oídio.
En este proyecto se realizó un cribado de microorganismos capaces de inhibir el crecimiento del fitopatógeno y así suprimir la enfermedad. Para ello, se emplearon 34 cepas de una colección de Bacillus subtilis con el fin de evaluar su capacidad antagonista frente a B. cinerea, ya que esta bacteria produce moléculas bioactivas capaces de combatir el oídio. El potencial de cada una de las cepas fue evaluado mediante diversos ensayos.
