El teatro como recurso didáctico en el aula de secundaria. Una propuesta para trabajar pic-nic de Fernando Arrabal

Abstract

Con este trabajo fin de máster se pretende mostrar que el teatro es un recurso didáctico eficaz que se puede usar dentro del aula y en concreto, en la asignatura de Lengua Castellana y Literatura. Por ello, uno de los objetivos principales es demostrar los beneficios que tiene el teatro para los alumnos de secundaria. Este no solo permite alcanzar las metas propuestas en el currículo de la asignatura, sino que además, favorece el desarrollo de nuevas habilidades en los alumnos a nivel individual y grupal. Por esta razón, en este trabajo se propone una unidad didáctica destinada a 4o ESO y centrada en la realización de una propuesta teatral cuya meta es la representación escénica. Para lograrlo, se ha escogido la obra Pic-nic de Fernando Arrabal, dramaturgo que por razones ajenas a su teatro permanece fuera del canon literario y por tanto, apenas se estudia en secundaria. Así, otro de los objetivos importantes que se quieren alcanzar es el de acabar con esta situación y acercar la obra del autor a los jóvenes espectadores. En cuanto a la obra seleccionada, va a permitir a los alumnos reflexionar de forma crítica sobre la guerra, que es su tema principal, desde un punto de vista absurdo. Gracias a esto, los alumnos van a poder comprobar que el teatro no solo sirve para entretener sino que también ayuda a reflexionar sobre temas de actualidad. Por último, es evidente que cuanto más se familiaricen los jóvenes con este género literario más posibilidad hay que en un futuro lo consuman. The aim of this Master’s Degree piece of work is to show that drama is an efficient didactic resource, which can be used in Secondary School classes and especially in the subject of Spanish Language and Literature. 3 curriculum, but it can also promote the development of new individual and group skills in the students. This is why, in this paper a unit of work for the 4th level of Compulsory Secondary Education is proposed, focused on the proposal of a play whose target is its performance. In order to achieve this, Fernando Arrabal’s play “Pic-nic” has been chosen, a playwright who for external reasons to his works remains outside the literary canon, thus being one of the less studied in Secondary Education. Furthermore, another of the main objectives of this piece of work is to put an end to this situation and bring this author’s play to the young audience. Concerning the chosen play, it will allow our students to think critically about war, its main theme, from an absurd point of view. Thanks to this, students will be able to check that the main aim of drama is not only to entertain but it can also help us to reflect about nowadays topics. Finally, it goes without saying that the more familiarized are the students with this literary genre the more likely they will become followers of it in the future.
